We're down to the final two-ish days of this campaign!
We're less than $700 from our first stretch goal! Will we make it? That's up to you and the fickle winds of fate at this point. YOU just need to hold on for 45 more hours. And we just need 20 or more people to jump onboard! We still have 16 guest appearance slots! We had no takers this year on our Warrior Bundle (well, we did, but then she increased her backing to get the Disciple Bundle). And we still have plenty of comic books left!
How can you pass up a free sticker and wallpaper, just to give me peace of mind?

66 hours to go as of this writing.
That's 66 nerve-wracking hours hoping that we can push to well over the funding level, so the "all or nothing" aspect of Kickstarter isn't a factor. It's scary when you're sitting right on the line just before the deadline.

I just thought you should know how cool all of you are! For those here for the first time, THANK YOU for taking a chance on us! For those who have returned, THANK YOU for sticking with us! For those who have increased the pledges, just to keep this campaign afloat, THANK YOU, there will be something extra in your stocking, my friends! For those who keep pushing this campaign everywhere you can, THANK YOU! I can't do this without ALL of you! So throw on those shades, lean back, and accept that you're all the coolest!

Wait? Did we go down a point?
Yes. Yes we did. Someone else had to withdraw their backing.
Fortunately, this loss didn't take us below our $6k goal, but it is scary. We need more backers to bring us well over the line, even to $6,500, just to offset anyone else who may need to bail before the final date. But that's not you, right? You're excited for this third issue! And if it's your first time with us, you're also excited to read issues 1 and 2 and find out what all the fuss is about!
Issues 1 & 2 will be available to read once you complete your survey from BackerKit.
That is, of course, if you're in either the digital or physical bundle tier, or selected the digital issues as an add-on. Still want to be able to read them? You can add them on via BackerKit when you do your survey. Once complete, BackerKit will provide you with the digital PDFs of issues 1 and 2 for your reading pleasure!
The physical copies will be sent when I send out the physical issue #3.
What you will see in issue #3
Like with issue #2, we start with some more of Mei Yin's backstory. We learn about her last days at the White Crane Temple in China and her journey to America. We also learn the "secret origin" of the Los Angeles White Crane Temple!
But we ended issue #2 with a cliffhanger, so we pick up where that left off to see how Mei Yin gets out of a situation she really can't fight her way out of.
Meanwhile Detectives Cruz and Lim (we met them in issue #2) are just trying to do their jobs, and the bad guys are making it difficult. This culminates in a cop show style shootout in front of the White Crane Temple. A shootout it will take a Shaolin Nun to stop!

Let everyone know! Especially let them know that if they want in, we only have THREE DAYS LEFT on this campaign! So today is better than tomorrow!

We've come a long way, reached our funding goal, and have just five days left!
We're currently less than $900 from our first stretch goal! We may only hit this stretch goal, but it's a good one to go out on! Spread the word and get your friends, family, and total strangers to join you in backing this book!
What happens after October 31?
Within a week of our campaign ending, you'll receive an email from BackerKit. Please don't ignore it. This is how I get your mailing address to send physical rewards to. Also, if you have digital issues coming, you'll be able to download issues #1 and #2 immediately!
Next, Greg goes to work drawing issue #3. I'm really excited to see this one come together. We're targeting to have the artwork done by the end of this year and the book off to the printers by January. As always, I'll keep you apprised of the progress through these messages and my substack newsletter, Sifu's Notes: https://jccarter.substack.com/
For those picking up just the digital issue of #3, when it goes to the printer, it will also come to you via BackerKit.
